You know what AvoMD is. But do you know who we are?
It all started with hand-drawn algorithms, guacamole (yes, you read that right) and the recognition of a universal problem: needing immediate, accurate access to medical guidelines at the point-of-care.
“Doctors didn’t want to be replaced by robots, nor turned into robots, but wanted to have tools that would augment their ability to care for patients,” said AvoMD CEO Yair Saperstein, MD MPH, who said the idea came to him and a friend during his internal medicine residency at SUNY Downstate.
From this idea, a business plan was born. That business plan turned into what we know today as AvoMD, a next-gen clinical guidelines and pathways platform that is making waves in the healthcare technology space.
